2016 Miss Emanuel County

Allison Durden

Allison is the 23-year-old daughter of Allen and Dottie Durden.  She was an honor graduate from Swainsboro High School.  Allison currently attends East Georgia State College, where she is pursuing her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.  Upon her graduation next year, Allison plans to use her degree, and her knowledge obtained from being in the insurance business for the past three years, to start her career as a pharmaceutical sales representative.

Allison has spent her entire life giving back to Emanuel County through community service and volunteering.  She loves working with the youth of Emanuel County by being a positive role model and mentor.  Allison also volunteers at multiple Boys and Girls Clubs of America in the surrounding counties, which is the foundation for her platform, “Youth Empowerment through the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.”  Allison is currently working with local civic leaders and organizations in hopes of starting a Boys and Girls Club in Emanuel County.

Allison began dancing and performing at the age of three.  She has many years of dance training in jazz, tap and ballet, but her true passion lies within tap dance.  She loves the thrill of dancing onstage in front of an audience.  Allison also enjoys singing, and was a part of the Honor Choir during her middle and high school years.

When Allison is not in the classroom or volunteering with local youth, she enjoys traveling with her family, perfecting her wakeboarding skills at the lake, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.

Allison is so excited about being named Miss Emanuel County, and she is eager for all of the events during her reign this year.  She is truly honored that she will be able to represent her home for the past 23 years on the Miss Georgia stage in June.
